Shipping is in Loïk’s blood; his grandfather, Frank Narby – owner of Eurocanadian Shipholdings Ltd. – revolutionized this industry in the late 70’s, introducing the concept of containerization, door-to-door shipping delivery services, as well as introducing IT in the supply chain processes.

He then went to on and started an investment fund; he invested in futures and options against the dollar. He was one of the first person to do so.

The Narby family was not only active in shipping and finance, as in the early 80’s, they acquired Château Guiraud, a Sauternes 1er Grand Cru Classé 1855, in Bordeaux. The family sold the property in 2006 to Mr. Robert Peugeot.

This is why I want to have my own “logbook” in which I describe and share the highlights of my business experiences, attendance to meetings or congresses, or simply giving my opinion on different political or economical issues.
